About Us

Growing up in the vibrant, gritty streets of New York, I was always drawn to oddities and art. My love for these unique aspects fueled my desire to create things both strange and beautiful. I delved deeper into the symbolism of eyes, exploring questions about my identity as an artist and the unknown forces that shape our lives.

It was from a place of introspection and curiosity that I started Eyeba. Despite a lack of formal training in jewelry making, I was drawn into the world and determined to find my unique place within it. I started with classes at FIT and continued by teaching myself traditional techniques and fully immersing myself in the design aspect of the work. The result was a collection of wearable art that feels both surreal, like a Dali painting, but also familiar, like a comforting and more traditional evil eye.

My background in art and design drove me to infuse my creations with personal narratives, historical contexts, and mythological references. The prosthetic eyes I incorporate into my work represent not only a connection to the past but also a window into the soul. These eyes serve as 'psychic armor,' offering protection, insight, and a reminder of the unseen connections we all share.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the delicate balance between light and darkness, joy and sorrow, beauty and decay. I consider myself an artist more than a jeweler, as my work transcends conventional jewelry design to evoke emotions. I believe that jewelry can serve as more than just adornment—it can be a soothing presence, a physical reminder of love, self-reliance, and the journey of life itself.

Through Eyeba, I strive to create not only beautiful objects but deeply sentimental pieces. To my customers, they can carry deep personal meaning and serve as cherished reminders of their own experiences and connections.

My hope is that Eyeba can help others find moments of clarity and beauty in a world that can sometimes feel dark and uncontrollable, providing a touchpoint to hold and cherish these feeling before they slip away.
